It can’t get any better than having hamburger, friends, and our very own 4th of July parade! Celebrating America’s birthday brought us all together as one community. Thank you to all of the residents who made the parade look fabulous!
“Dads are most ordinary men turned by love into heroes, adventurers, story-tellers, and singers of song.” -Pam Brown. We would like to thank everyone who came out to our Father’s Day celebration! We had a wonderful time playing a few games and had great food at our potluck!
We all gathered on Sunday, May 13, to celebrate Mother’s. Some of the men volunteered to serve cake, fruit & punch to the ladies present. A big thank you to our servers Dave Balderson, Jim Mathews, Dale Back & Arlie Stolle. Scot read funny comments regarding Mother’s and the big day. We had prizes also! Mary Lou Stolle won a miniature rose bush for raising not only her children but grandchildren too! Marie Woods won a miniature rose bush for spending the most days in the hospital for the birth of a child – 10 days! Finally, Shirley Maxon won a Calgone Lotion set for having the most kids….9! We all had a great time and everyone left with a bag of candy – chocolate included, of course!
As the American flag waived high in honor of Memorial Day, the residents celebrated with a meal at the Tradewinds Hall. The park provided sloppy joe’s and residents brought sides for everyone to enjoy.
