Every year the residents of MBTW gather at the MB hall to share a meal & celebrate the Christmas holiday. This year, the park provided the ham, the turkey and the gravy. Residents brought all of the trimmings to be shared with friends and neighbors and had a wonderful time together.
Every year the city of Mission hosts a Citrus Parade. This year was no different. The theme was Hawaiian pirates. Many creative minds & active hands gathered together to create a float, The Mission Queen. The float sported 39 different plant products that can be found in the Rio Grande Valley. The float also carried our king & queen, Bob & Nancy Erickson. The float won 2nd place in the parade! In all. of our hearts, it was a first-place winner!
One of the residents’ favorite activities is the caroling/hay ride. Trailers loaded with hay are pulled throughout the Resort as residents sing Christmas carols to those who choose to stay at home. The evening ends with seasonal goodies as well as hot chocolate & warm apple cider in the fellowship hall.
